Summer cruise - France and Channel Islands

Niki and I have not long returned from a two week cruise to Northern Brittany and the Channel Islands. We came back sooner than hoped, due to some “traditional” British bank holiday weather, but overall the weather was superb. Three Solent Gaffers (Molly, Meagan and High Barbaree) were given a lovely send-off from Lymington by our Solent OGA friends. Our first port of call was Cherbourg, where we checked in to France and then out again the next morning to St Peter Port on Guernsey. After a single night there, we re-entered France, spending two nights in Lezardrieux before moving to Dahouet for another pair of nights. After this, we visited St Malo and then passed through the lock onto the Rance inland water, to spend a blissful night at Plouet-sur-Rance before a second visit to St Malo. With strong winds forecast, we set off home a couple of days early, stopping at St Peter Port again and then Braye on Alderney before crossing back across the Channel. What a great trip - lots of videos to come - but for now, here is a gallery of images to give you a flavour of the trip.
